On Thursday June 13, we went to a program at the library as a part of the summer reading program. Mark, the self-proclaimed "Animal Magician," showed off exotic animals, while Emma mostly hid behind me and peeked out at them! Some of the animals were poisonous, and the "magician" handled all of them, including one lizard that is so poisonous, zoos don't even keep them! He has appeared on TV shows and celebrities' birthday parties and was named "Nickelodeon's Entertainer of the Year." So, after all the animals were put away, Emma was happy to meet him and get an autographed copy of a children's book featuring all of his animals!
