Kings Island and Soak City Waterpark!
On June 5 and 6, we returned to Kings Island. Taking advantage of the beautiful, warm sunshine, we spent most of our first day at Soak City, our first visit to the water park this season. It was a bit busy, but we still had fun riding most of the slides and playing in the lazy river and sprayground areas. In the evening, we went over to the main park for a few rides and fireworks before heading to our hotel. On Thursday we returned to the main park, where we were met with a steady rain and temperatures in the upper 60s...quite a contrast from the day before! Luckily the rain stopped about an hour after we arrived, and the iffy weather apparently scared some people away, because we didn't have to wait in lines as much as we had on Wednesday! We also watched a 70s show with some talented singers and dancers and a magic show performed by "that magician guy" who used to be on Saved By the Bell! After 2 full days of fun, we were tired and ready to head home, but we were happy to have had our first official trip of summer vacation!
