On June 1st, we went to Aunt Linda's Relay for Life as we have for the past few years. The Relay, done in counties throughout the country, benefits the American Cancer Society. Since Aunt Linda puts a lot of work into the event, such as coordinating the survivor dinner and tent, we try to show our support. It's also a great way to remember our loved ones affected by cancer. Lumenarias which honor and remember cancer patients are placed around the track (this year, the gym, with glow sticks instead of real candles since there was a thunderstorm)followed by a special ceremony.
