Wild Child at the Zoo!

Today we went to the zoo with Emma's friend Maci and her family! This was Emma's first trip to the Columbus Zoo (although she's been to the Toledo Zoo a few times since it's so close to Grandma's). We saw a baby elephant, a family of lions, sharks, manatees, kangaroos, monkeys swinging from the trees (Emma's favorite), as well as many others. The girls were so excited and well-behaved! Best of all, even though we'd had rain earlier in the day, the skies cleared for most of our visit. With the threat of rain, though, we didn't have to worry about crowds! Of course, the minute we got home, Emma asked, "Can we go to the zoo again soon?"

Easter!

Emma had a wonderful Easter! Last year, she was quite sick on Easter Sunday, so I guess she was making up for lost time. On Saturday, she attended an Easter egg hunt at church (accompanied by friend Maci). Grandma Karen came to town, too! On Sunday, we went to church for breakfast and the service. Daddy played his trumpet, and, along with the other kids, Emma got to celebrate Jesus by decorating the church with glitter! Then, in the afternoon, we had dinner at our house with our extended family. After a nap, Emma hunted Easter eggs in the backyard. Not only that, but the weather all day was gorgeously sunny and about 75 degrees!

Spring Break Fun!

Even though it was MOM's spring break, Emma had a lot of fun, too, especially since the weather was so warm! We had lots of fun in the back yard, at the playground, with Mommy's friend Beth on a shopping trip, and on Emma's new tricycle!

Hog Wild at the Spaghetti Dinner!

On March 21st, we continued our annual tradition of attending Uncle Ray's Kiwanis spaghetti dinner. We got a surprise on our way out...Cousin Sharon has a new ride! She even let Emma sit on her new Hog, in spite of the inevitable fingerprints! Emma's hooked!
