The last day of May, Emma and I met Mom, Dad, Jason, Kristen, Eric, Grandma Coe and Aunt Linda at Teays Valley High School just north of Circleville. We were supporting Aunt Linda's annual Relay for Life event by walking the track (or in Emma's case, riding on Uncle Jason's shoulders) and participating in the activities throughout the evening. This year the weather was beautiful, unlike last year's thunderstorm! We enjoyed outdoor-only events like a balloon release and Emma's favorite, a hula hooping contest. The most meaningful part of the event took place just after dark, when we remembered survivors and those we have lost to cancer with luminaries around the track.
