Trick or treats, treats, and more treats!
Emma had not one, not two, but FIVE opportunities to enjoy being a ladybug this Halloween! First, our church hosted a "Slime Time" party and "Trunk or Treat" night, where Emma's friends Maci and Madelynn also appeared as ladybugs. Even though we'd heard they were going to be dressed the same way, we actually hadn't planned for that (they each decided to be one independently)! Our second celebration was at the Victorian banquet house in town, which was also decorated for the the holiday. Volunteers, many of them older seniors, dressed up, and passed out candy to the kids as they paraded through. Our family came out in full force for trick-or-treat night. Although we don't have pictures, Emma enjoyed her preschool party with cute crafts and a parade around the school. Finally, "Mall-o-ween" at our local mall was the only event actually happening on October 31st, the "real" day. ...and don't worry, Emma shared her candy with us!
