Today we went to the zoo with Emma's friend Maci and her family! This was Emma's first trip to the Columbus Zoo (although she's been to the Toledo Zoo a few times since it's so close to Grandma's). We saw a baby elephant, a family of lions, sharks, manatees, kangaroos, monkeys swinging from the trees (Emma's favorite), as well as many others. The girls were so excited and well-behaved! Best of all, even though we'd had rain earlier in the day, the skies cleared for most of our visit. With the threat of rain, though, we didn't have to worry about crowds! Of course, the minute we got home, Emma asked, "Can we go to the zoo again soon?"
